Green Glossary

The design community is sharpening its focus on the environmental impact of interior design and architectural specifications. This requires practitioners to develop expertise in a broad range of issues and agendas regarding green standards. In an effort to de-mystify environmental jargon, ACT has compiled a glossary of green terminology with particular emphasis on terms used in reference to the textile industry.

We are posting this glossary on our website for convenience and as a means of keeping it as a living document. If you do not find a term you are looking for, please send us an e-mail and we will develop a definition and enter it into the glossary. At the end of the glossary, you will find links to a variety of websites which address environmental issues. This is by no means a complete list and does not infer endorsement by ACT.
